Rochford Pianos is a family run business founded in 1984 by Dominic Rochford and is to be found in a conveniently situated country business park in the village of Woolpit near Bury St Edmunds, just a two minute drive from the A14.

In addition to new pianos, we have an excellent range of fully refurbished high quality grand and upright pianos. We stock a variety of sizes, finishes, styles, makes and models. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and our pianos are restored to impeccably high standards. We specialise in touch regulation (the feel, weight and responsiveness of the keys) and voicing (improving or changing tone), as a member of the Precision Touch Design Academy Europe. This enables us to ensure your new piano is playing to its full potential and is tailored to suit your preference and playing style. We regularly attend conferences and courses in Europe, held by some of the major piano makers, ensuring we are offering the most up to date services.
​​Alongside our impressive showroom, we also offer piano hire, tuning, servicing, restoration and moving services. Our pianos have been hired for and played by pianists, including Stephen Hough, Tim Minchin, John Lill, George Melley, John Lenehan, Roman Rudnytsky, and Rick Wakeman, to name but a few.

Our onsite workshop specialises in the restoration of high end grand and upright pianos, including instruments made by Steinway, Bechstein, Bluthner, Bosendorfer and more. We are always happy to advise on the best option for your piano.
OUR SERVICES
RESTORATION
As well as fully restoring our own pianos, we also restore customers’ pianos. We pride ourselves on returning tired pianos back to their former glory. We have extensive experience in restoring and repairing Steinway, Bechstein, Bosendorfer, Blüthner and other fine pianos, but also welcome other makes.
We hire out a range of pianos for professional and local concerts, private events, music exams, schools and longer term hire.
